It's been a snowy past few weeks, just in time for the holidays. While the temperatures have been a bit mild as of late, i'm pretty sure this year we'll have a white Christmas! Scout hated the weather at first, to the point where we'd have to throw her outside, but she's beginning to get used to it, prancing all around and leaving tracks in the snow. Dobermans are such big babies, it's a shame people think they're so scary looking. ALL she wants to do is cuddle, lol.
If I don't pop by this space before the holidays, I wish you all the very best! I hope you get to spend quality time with your loved ones and enjoy a little break too. I for one, cannot wait!
Don't let the lack of snow fool you... just a week or so ago I took these photos almost losing a hand to the bitter cold! It was well worth the half hour search for the perfect tree though. You know, the one that just screams, "pick me, pick me!". It smells like heaven and fits perfectly into the corner of our living room. I love having the tree up, twinkly lights all aglow in the evenings. It makes Christmas that much more official. Lately, i've been finding a lot more of our friends and family are getting real trees (or maybe i'm just noticing)... which do you prefer, real or fake?
Better late, than never. Right? We're half way through December already and it's been busy around here, as I'm sure it has been for all of you! We've been spending a lot of time cuddled on the couch drinking cocoa and watching movies too though, wrapping gifts and making holiday plans. The pup and kitten are sporting their Christmas collars, and Rick and I have been slowly decorating here and there. I love this time of year. There's nothing a flickering candle, cozy couch, and cup of tea can't cure. It's winter comfort at its finest. It's snowed so much already (with a huge amount this past weekend), piling up on the front lawn, but I don't mind a white Christmas! (Talk to me mid-February however, and I mind change my tune, lol.) For now, we're enjoying it and all the season has to offer. I hope your December is shaping up just as well!
