This weekend I decided to add a little chocolate to my smoothie to make it a sweet + healthy treat. Not for every morning, but a bright and sunny Saturday certainly deserves one, don't you think? This one is pretty simple and can be whipped up in no time...
Almond Milk (I used vanilla)
One frozen banana
Organic Cocoa powder
Chia Seeds (About a tbsp)
Square of dark, 71% chocolate
Red berries (I used raspberries)
Water and ice cube (to thin it out)
Again I just mix up the ingredients based on taste, so feel free to adjust to your liking! You need just enough almond milk and water added in first for your blender to easily whip things up.
Also, last time I posted a smoothie recipe someone mentioned the cleanup after. Here's a great trick I learned... after you're done making your smoothie, add water and some dish soap and give it a whirl. All the little bits will come loose in the bottom and just rinse to finish cleaning.
