set aside for pie...

Just thought i'd share a few more photos from the weekend... the bright Cortland's I picked are being saved in the cellar for Thanksgiving apple pie this weekend. I'm hoping to document the pie making process, as it's a recipe my Mom has used for years (just not sure about using the film camera indoors)... what's your favourite kind of pie during this season?

Photos: My own, from film

  1. I love apple picking! I live just outside of a community in Ontario known for it, so I'm pretty lucky.

And, as for my favourite pie, I'd probably have to go with pumpkin. Apple is good, though.

  2. Melissa - Where abouts are you? We went apple picking in St.George, near Brantford. There's so many great spots in Ontario! I think i should give pumpkin another chance, I tried it a long time ago and wasn't a fan, but maybe I will again this year...

  3. Your photos are gorgeous! I'd love to see your pie making process. My favourite pie during the fall season is (you can probably guess), pumpkin! Anything with pumpkin! If it has pumpkin in it, I will eat it... I can't get enough!

  4. hands down apple pie is my favorite during this time of year....{i'm currently on the hunt for a great cobbler recipe} your apple picking posts are making me silly happy...
